High Values has been approved by the International Women’s Day (IWD) organization to compete in the 2019 #BalanceforBetter Best Practices Competition. It’s our intention to proudly celebrate women’s achievements in Canadian cannabis, worldwide.

We’re inviting everyone in Canadian cannabis to join us in collectively celebrating women’s achievements by submitting a few sentences about:

  • women you admire in cannabis (all ranges of seniority)

  • your International Women’s Day (IWD) event/efforts; and/or

  • work being done to improve gender inclusion in cannabis

Entries will be used to demonstrate internationally how Canadian cannabis collectively promotes the 2019 #BalanceforBetter theme. Submissions are intended use in High Values’ approved application to the International Women’s Day Best Practices Competition. Full details of the campaign and our gender inclusion statements are found here.

Cannabis NFP & Advocacy Group RECOGNITION

Not-for-profits, advocacy groups, and related organizations can share with us the work they do to improve gender inclusion, how they celebrated International Women’s Day 2019, or their ongoing campaign.

Advocates across Canada donate countless hours of their personal time, often on little to no budget. From grass roots women’s patient support groups to organizations removing barriers in Indigenous communities; each effort collectively promotes gender balance in Canadian cannabis.

Cannabis Company contributions

Cannabis companies can share with us how they improve gender inclusion in the workplace and industry, how they celebrated International Women’s Day 2019, or their ongoing campaign. While we’d love to see big efforts, we recognize that many cannabis start-ups are only recently able to turn their attention to this. We all start somewhere, and the collective effort in cannabis is what will be most impressive.
